Review: Viridian Nutrition Suppliments for Sports

This is really a post for a different time BUT I'll start with a little intro.
In the last year I've lost 5 stone. I've developed a whole new relationship with my body. I've fallen in love with exercise and that horrid, gross, red-faced but satisfied feeling when I've achieved something that I wouldn't have been able to a year ago.
I push my body every day. I cycle, I walk, I run (well, I jog but with brief and increased sprints!). I play Roller Derby and dabble with Powerhoop classes. It's because of all this that I need to support my body to be stronger and also to be able to recover properly. With that in mind I'll start my review!

I might sound like a broken record but I really do love Viridian Nutrition and after a chat with them, a few products* were suggested for me so I'll do a little run down of what I've used for the last month...

Sports Multi is a high potency multivitamin and mineral formula designed to complement and boost the activity of protein powders and sports drinks. I'm not using protein powders, although I really, really should be, but I have been using Sports Electrolyte Fix Liquid.  The Sports Multi is packed with vitamins and minerals that are all geared up to help your body preform better by reducing fatigue and increase energy. Just take two tables daily.
The Sports Electrolyte Fix Liquid is a blend of naturally occurring brine from the Great Salt Lake in Utah and contain sodium, magnesium, chloride and potassium. Exercise makes us sweat, right?  It's not just water that we lose but important minerals too. This liquid works to rehydrate you and increase preformance. Take 2.5ml to 10ml diluted in one litre of water daily as required.

Alongside this, High Potency Magnesium contributes to the maintenance of bone health and reducing fatigue but is also important for the normal function of muscles. Pretty important to have strong bones when you're pounding the pavement or landing on your arse in a sports hall. No one wants broken bones. All with the ease of taking one tablet daily.

Arnica Balm is pretty much a staple in my house as my husband is also very active. We've used many different brands over the years and have found that Viridian's offering is one of the easiest to use. It's very soft thanks to the sunflower and jojoba oils which make it super quick to massage into muscles without any dragging of skin that is already aching.

You can take a more thorough look at each of these by clicking on the bold titles or by heading over to Viridian's website here. If you have anything you need particular help with, I'd suggest contacting the lovely team by clicking here.

*Products sent for consideration of review.

  2. 5 stone!!! Well done Jen, that is incredible! I knew you looked slimmer at the Reading meet but wow, 5 stone is amazing! I love using arnica balm as well after a tough workout but never really thought to use supplements specifically for exercise! xx
