Review: Lovea Pure Argan Oil

I've been looking at getting a bottle of Argan oil for a couple of months now and ever late to the party, picked the Lovea Pure Argan Oil* from MyPure for this months review.

Lovea, Argan Oil, My Pure

The use of Argan oil has exploded in cosmetic use over the last couple of years and can be found as a key ingredient in everything from shampoos to body moisturisers. Boasting many benefits to the skin and hair as it's rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E. Argan oil increases skin elasticity, nourishes and helps smooth the surface of the skin. I was particularly interested in it's use as a hair treatment as it helps bring life back to dull hair.

Lovea Pure Argan Oil RRP £14.99 for 50ml is exactly what it says on the tin - its a 100% certified organic Argan oil. For £14.99 for a 50ml bottle I think this is really good value for money. I've used hair treatments that claim the benefits of Argan oil that have cost £20+ that has actually, when looking at the ingredients list, had the oil way down towards the end of the list.

The oil is a beautiful golden colour that has a nutty scent to it, similar to olives but it fades quickly.
I've been using it in a few ways – 1) as heat protection on towel dried hair before blow drying. Just a couple of pumps into my hand (it kinds spritz everywhere) and I apply it from the middle of my hair through to the ends.
My ends have soaked the oil up and become more manageable while styling. I've been without a heat protector after my Yarok Feed Your Shine had run out last month and so I think my hair is really enjoying the extra step in care again!
2) As an intensive moisturiser by applying to moist skin straight after showering. Something about this process really locks in moisture and leave my skin silky smooth. I’ve found it can take a bit longer to be able to get dressed so I do this at the weekend when I’m not in such a rush.
3) As a hair mask. I usually deep condition my hair with coconut oil but have switched over to Argan oil for the last couple of weeks. I like to apply the oil to my hair, taking time to massage the oil into my scalp and then really working the oil through to the ends of my hair. I then leave the oil on overnight and wash it out in the morning. Results? Beautifully soft hair.

It’s no surprise that I’ve loved using this oil and I would highly recommend it.
It can be bought from MyPure for £14.99 and they offer free postage too.
